GemellArte Off was born in 2019 as a film festival of French production, in the original language, organized during the GemellArte Contemporary Art Festival, Terni – Saint Ouen. Now in its third edition, GemellArte Off is enriched with proposals and content. No more simple show of four appointments – four weekly movies – the program of the 2021 edition is expanding.
GemellArte Off opens in Terni with a day of work ITALY – FRANCE – EUROPE, dedicated to the growth of cultural relations between the two countries. The initiative wants to contribute to the development of knowledge of the respective cultures and visions, expressed through cinematographic works. The general target is to strengthen the common cultural space and encourage the idea of ​​a European citizenship, while respecting national or regional peculiarity.
The new project is divided into the entire month of November 2021, with 4 French cinema movies, organized together with the Institut Français Italia, through the supply of their database of movies in the original language with Italian subtitles.
The GemellArte Off project will take place in Saint’Ouen at the same time, proposing, here, movies of the Italian cinema, with a selection of movies in Italian language and subtitles in French, accompanied by a series of meetings and debates with Italian directors, authors, producers and actors.
